Why a Phantom of the Opera Theme in Wounded Heart?

Why are they writing about a familiar theme?

They wanted to delve into a fantastical world within romance to explore what could possibly lie beneath kidnapping, a strong female protagonist and a dark world of intrigue. All three come together is this dark romance themed story.

We find out what we’re made of when we’re placed in challenging and unforeseeable conditions. What can the human mind conceive of to set itself free? Kayla Mistry finds out first hand when she finds herself trapped inside the castle belonging to Mr. Wadleigh. Why would such a man kidnap a young woman, he has no ties to…?

The story unfolds to reveal complications from a past that Kayla was unaware of. She makes strong choices to free herself and decides she’ll stop at nothing to release herself from a confined cage, she absolutely wants out of.
